Shipping, step by step

Everything between “accepted” and “it’s in your binder” — what you pay, how to pack, labels, what the hub does with your cards, and how long it all takes.

Fees

What you pay

Each trader pays their own part, once, after you’ve both accepted. It covers three things: the hub fee, postage for your package to the hub, and postage for the package the hub sends you — your new cards, or your own cards back if the trade falls through.

Postage depends on the package. With prepaid labels it’s the carrier’s live price for your address; otherwise you post to the hub yourself and only the hub’s package to you is on the bill.

Direct trades (no hub) are free. The trade page always shows your exact amount before you pay.

Step 1

Pay your part

Open the trade and follow the first step. Pick what you’re shipping in (the trade page suggests one from your items), check the total, and pay by card on a secure Stripe page. You’re brought straight back to the trade.

If card payments aren't switched on yet

The hub team sends you a payment request for your part (by PayPal or similar) and marks it paid on the trade page. Pack and ship in the meantime — the hub only checks a package once it’s paid. Only pay a request that the trade page tells you about; nobody else should ever ask you for money.

Step 2

Pack it with the packing slip

Your cards are opened, checked and repacked at the hub, so pack for the trip there. Print the packing slip from the trade page — it lists exactly what goes in and carries the trade code the hub matches packages by.

  1. 01

    Penny sleeve

Every card goes in a soft sleeve first — it stops scratches when it slides into the top loader.
  2. 02

    Top loader

Then a rigid top loader (or a card saver for cards headed to grading). One card per loader.
  3. 03

    Team bag

Slide the loaders into a resealable team bag and seal the bag. Tape the bag, never the cards or sleeves.
  4. 04

    Slip inside

Tick each item off on the packing slip, fold it and put it in with the cards.

Pick the right package

  • Envelope with a top loader — 1–3 cards.
  • Bubble mailer — up to about 25 cards, or a few packs.
  • Small box — sealed boxes, lots of cards, or anything fragile.
  • Sealed packs, boxes and cases stay in their factory wrap, padded in a small box so corners don’t crush.

Please don’t

  • Tape on cards

Tape on a card or sleeve can tear it when it’s opened.

  • Loose cards

Cards rattling around an envelope arrive bent.

  • Extras

Only what’s in the offer. Anything else comes back to you.

  • Untracked post

Stamped envelopes with no tracking aren’t accepted.

Step 3

Label and drop-off

The hub’s address shows on the trade page once you’re in an accepted trade.

With a prepaid label

Tap Print your prepaid label after paying. Print it on any printer, tape it flat on the outside, and drop the package at the post office or in a mailbox. Tracking saves itself — just tap I’ve dropped it off.

With your own postage

Send it with any tracked service (USPS Ground Advantage is the cheapest for cards) and type the tracking number into the trade page. That’s your proof of sending — keep the receipt.

Outside the US

Prepaid labels are US-only for now. Ship with your own tracked postage and add the tracking number.

What happens to your cards

Every step shows on the trade page and posts in your message thread, so you always know where things are.

  1. 01

    Received

The hub logs your package when it arrives and matches it to the trade by the slip.
  2. 02

    Photographed

Photos of the package as it arrived and of everything inside, before anything is handled.
  3. 03

    Checked

Each item against the offer: the exact card, set and rarity, that it’s genuine, and the condition that was promised.
  4. 04

    Waiting for both sides

Nothing goes on until both packages have arrived and passed — so neither of you is ever out of pocket.
  5. 05

    Repacked

Your new cards are repacked with care for the trip to you.
  6. 06

    Sent on

With fresh tracking on the trade page. Confirm when it arrives, then leave each other a review.

Timings

How long it takes

  • Pay and ship within a few days of accepting. Most packages reach the hub in 2–5 days.
  • The hub checks a trade once both packages are in, then sends both on together.
  • If the other trader hasn’t shipped 10 days after accepting, open a dispute from the trade page and the hub team steps in.
  • Trades complete on their own 3 days after the carrier says your package was delivered (or 21 days after the hub ships it) unless you open a dispute.

If a check fails

When something doesn't match

Wrong card, a fake, or condition that isn’t what was offered: the trade doesn’t go ahead, and everything goes back to whoever sent it.

Their items failed

Your own cards come back to you, and your hub fee is refunded. If you hadn’t shipped yet, everything you paid comes back.

Your items failed

They come back to you on the return postage you already paid; the hub fee isn’t refunded. Sending a fake pauses trading on your account.

The full rules on refunds, damage and lost packages are in the trading terms.
