Trading terms
The rules for using this site to trade, written to be read. Cae & Lexi run the site and its verification hub — “we” and “us” below.
1
Accounts
- You need to be 13 or older to have an account.
- Verified trades involve a payment, so you need to be 18 or older to make one — or have a parent or guardian’s permission and payment method.
- You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself — we’ll never ask for it.
- Everyone follows the community guidelines. We can warn, suspend or ban accounts that break them, as described there.
2
Fees and payments
- A verified trade (both sides ship to our hub to be checked) costs $5 per person, plus postage for your package to the hub and for the hub’s package to you. The trade page shows your exact amount before you pay.
- You pay after both traders accept. Making, countering or declining an offer is free. Direct trades, and trades you arrange yourselves, are free.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Where card payments aren’t available, we may send a payment request another way — only ever one that the trade page tells you about.
- We don’t check or forward a package until its sender’s part is paid.
- Traders never pay each other. Nobody may ask another trader for money for a trade.
3
Shipping
- Ship within a few days of paying, with tracking, packed as described in the shipping guide, with the packing slip inside.
- Send only the items in the accepted offer. Anything extra is sent back with your package.
- Our address is for trades only — don’t send anything that isn’t part of one.
- If the other trader hasn’t shipped 10 days after accepting, you can open a dispute and we’ll step in.
4
Inspections
Inspection is a careful check by people, against the accepted offer. It isn’t grading, and it isn’t a guarantee of authenticity beyond what a careful look can tell.
- We photograph each package as it arrives and its contents, then check each item: the exact card, set and rarity, that it appears genuine, and the condition that was offered.
- An item fails if it’s missing, the wrong item, appears counterfeit or altered, or is in noticeably worse condition than offered. Our decision on a check is final for that trade.
- If either side fails, the trade doesn’t go ahead and everything is returned to its sender.
- Sending a counterfeit pauses your trading; doing it on purpose ends it.
5
Refunds
- Called off before anything ships (by either trader, or by us): you get back everything you paid, and an unused prepaid label is cancelled.
- The other trader’s items fail inspection: your hub fee is refunded and your items come back to you. If you hadn’t shipped yet, everything you paid is refunded.
- Your items fail inspection: they’re returned to you using the return postage you paid. The hub fee isn’t refunded — the check was done.
- Once a package has been posted, its postage can’t be refunded. Otherwise, once a trade has gone ahead the hub fee isn’t refundable.
- Refunds go back the way you paid. Card refunds usually show up in 5–10 days; others are sent by hand.
6
Lost or damaged packages
- On the way to the hub with a prepaid label from the trade page: we file the claim with the carrier and pass on what they pay. With your own postage, the claim is yours to make with your carrier.
- From the hub to you: we file the claim with the carrier and pass on what they pay. Tell us through a dispute on the trade page within 3 days of the carrier marking it delivered, with photos of the package and contents.
- While at the hub: if we lose or damage something in our care, we’ll work out a fair replacement or payment with you, based on recent sold prices.
7
Prohibited items
- Counterfeits, proxies, reprints, custom or altered cards, and resealed “sealed” product.
- Anything not in the accepted offer.
- Anything illegal to post, or dangerous: batteries, liquids, sharp objects, anything flammable.
- Cash, gift cards or other payment tucked into a package.
8
Liability
- We run this site and the hub with care, but they’re provided as they are. We don’t promise they’ll always be available or error-free.
- Card values shown on the site are estimates from public listings, for interest only. We don’t guarantee what any card is worth.
- For any trade, the most we’re responsible for is what you paid us for it, plus anything set out in “Lost or damaged packages” above — except where the law doesn’t allow that limit.
- Trades you arrange yourselves, outside a verified or direct trade on the site, are between you and the other person.
9
Changes and contact
- The site is growing — a marketplace for selling singles is on the way — and these terms will change with it. The date at the top shows the latest version; big changes to trading also mean re-reading the trade safety page before your next trade.
- Questions? Ask the team in the trade’s message thread, or reach Cae & Lexi on Twitch or YouTube.
